- OrthopedicsSusan Van Hise received her BA from UC Berkeley and her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from UCSF/SFSU. She has been practicing out-patient orthopedics since 2009, first in S.F. and currently in Marin. Susan’s diverse experience includes treatment of sports and work injuries, balance impairments, degenerative conditions, pre- and post-surgical joint repairs and replacements, postural irregularities and gait disorders. She is a native of Mill Valley and is raising her family here. Susan thoroughly enjoys working in this community treating people of all ages, from our elementary school students to our centenarians.
- Pinched Nerve"Due to a severe pinched nerve that ran from my left butt down to my ankle the pain was on a scale of 10 being the most intense. However, over time it really improved thanks to the wonderful staff at Mill Valley Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation!!!!!! They are attentive, caring, respectful and encouraging! - Physical Therapy3. Not all services are a covered benefit in all contracts. Some insurance companies arbitrarily select certain services they will not cover. Please check with your insurance company on benefits covered. We must emphasize that as physical therapy providers, our relationship is with you. Not your insurance company. While the filing of insurance claims is a courtesy that we to our patients, all charges are your responsibility from the date the services are rendered. Returned checks and balances older than 30 days may be subject to additional collection fees and interest charges of 12% annum fee. Charges will be incurred for broken appointments and appointments cancelled without 24 hours advance notice as a missed appointment fee of $145.We will gladly discuss your proposed treatment and answer any questions about the above information or any uncertainty regarding insurance coverage. - Aquatic TherapyJaina Patel started her career as a physical therapist in 2004 when she received her Masters of Physical Therapy at Georgia State University. She later went on and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Boston University in 2007. Jaina has predominately worked in orthopedics, but has also worked in pediatrics performing aquatic therapy as well as serving the geriatric population focusing on fall prevention and overall health maintenance. In addition to being the current owner of Mill Valley Physical Therapy, Jaina also has an out-patient practice in southern California. When away from work, Jaina enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
