This nonprofit organization keeps the legacy of Ansel Adams alive through workshops at Yosemite and elsewhere and through exhibitions and publications of his photographs, writings, and related materials. It also authorizes the use of the Adams's images by appropriate venues. You can be sure you won't see these photos used -- as with, for example, Fred Astaire dancing with a vacuum cleaner -- to hawk commercial products. The trust also monitors the quality of authorized reproductions and works to limit unauthorized uses. It is involved as well with the preservation of the original materials, which through Adams's bequest have become available for study in a university setting.
