General Info
The year was 1942, and our country was engaged in a fight for liberty and freedom throughout the world. It was a difficult time and an especially difficult time to start a business. But Guy Anderson had a vision, which is why he purchased the Schraffenberger Funeral Home, and added his family name shortly after. His dedication to caring, personal services for families who had lost a loved one brought him success, and at one time he served the Cincinnati community with five locations. As the family’s business expanded, Guy’s sons, Bruce and Charles became Licensed Funeral Directors and joined the company. Charles’ dedication to service and his entrepreneurial spirit compelled him to strike out on his own in 1980, purchasing The Eaton Funeral Home in Franklin, and the Unglesby Funeral Home a few years later. His idea was to help families plan and pay for their funerals in advance, and protect them from having to deal with unexpected expenses at a difficult time. The idea was successful, as families came to understand the value of the funeral ceremony as a tribute to their loved one, and as they began to appreciate the convenience and protection of pre-need planning. Today, the Anderson family also owns the Breitenbach McCoy Leffler Funeral Home in Middletown. Charles’ daughter Rebekah and his son Tyler continue their father’s dedication to the families of Southwestern Ohio.
