Rockway Elementary School, established in 1961, is a coeducational institution that offers academic services to more than 570 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. It is a part of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, which is one of the largest school systems in the United States with a combined enrollment of over 353,000 students in nearly 450 educational institutions. Rockway Elementary School s amenities include a library media center, cafeteria, sports field, administrative offices, computer laboratories, approximately 30 classrooms, and art and music rooms. The school also provides counseling, health care, transportation and meal services. Rockway Elementary School, located in Miami, maintains a parent-teacher-student association that provides support and assistance to the school by organizing various fundraising events and activities.
