Founded in the Palmetto Bay, Florida community in 1982, our school began with a student body of ten and a staff of one assistant and Mrs. Eleanor Winhold. By 1985, the school had expanded to three classrooms at two locations and in 1990 the three Children's Houses became centralized in one location at Old Cutler Road. Our increased enrollment guided our move to a brand new facility with five classrooms at our present location in the fall of 2002. The goal of Winhold Montessori Schools, Inc is to help develop the child's individual aptitude to the fullest potential. Our tools are a prepared environment, specially trained and certified Montessori teachers and the use of Montessori didactic materials.
