Established in 1902, Children's Home Society of Florida, also known as CHS, is one of the leading private, nonprofit organizations that provide a variety of services for children and families. It offers various individual counseling, therapeutic foster care, and child abuse prevention and intervention services. The organization administers several residential and group home, adoption, mentoring and family preservation programs. Children's Home Society of Florida also offers a variety of services related to parenting skills, substance abuse, family discord, abuse recovery, and medically and emotionally challenged children. It has attained accreditation by the Council on Accreditation (COA) since 1982. Children's Home Society of Florida maintains more than 200 locations and is headquartered in Winter Park, Fla.
