At age 18 David choose to follow in his family tradition and started apprenticing along side his father. He then opened his own bindery and has since ran a successful business of hand binding books. Bookbinding is a true craft that through the centuries has held its place in time. Although many binderies today are machine working and mass-produced losing the quality that only a true craftsman is able to maintain through hand binding. David Reid is a true craftsman.
