      GEC incorporated in 1968. A full service machine shop capable of large and small run machine work. Since 1974 we have been producing our own product, the GEC Turret Rewinder. We specialized in doing work for the printing industry, but now are diversified in all types of precision machine work for all industries. Our new line of machinery which focuses on sludge processing is marketed under our new name, Charter Machine Company.Our team of engineers and technicians combines scientific knowledge with many years of experience in the industry. Charter Machine Company is now into its third year of successful operation of the former Roediger Pittsburgh line of equipment. Biosolid Treatment Plants have relied on Roediger's equipment for years- and for good reason. It's the best built, best performing presses and treatment equipment in the business.We at Charter Machine Company have been supplying service and parts to Roediger's existing customers, as well as continuing to build several machines that were still under contract. Building the Roediger Equipment line of machinery blended well into our factory's production and manufacture of Parts and Machines. Adding a Secondary product line in a different field advanced our company in growth and diversification.To facilitate this CMC has hired former Roediger Engineering, Service and Sales personnel. Our company has developed a reputation within the industry for outstanding workmanship, knowledge and customer service. Through application of its know-how and operating practices, Charter Machine Company aims, through the acquisition of these Roediger Pittsburgh, Inc patents, to become the premier supplier of dewatering equipment to the industry.Sludge varies, and so are the facilities that handle it. Charter Machine Company offers custom solutions designed to meet your needs, whether it is stainless steel units to mobile dewatering trailers. With our in-house staff of design engineers and complete control over the fabrication we are able to make modifications so the equipment you order is perfectly suited to your operation.Occasionally our equipment will need need servicing. At Charter Machine Company we maintain a complete inventory of replacement parts ready for immediate shipment. Assistance is a phone call away with help in troubleshooting and problem solving.Charter Machine Company specializes in dewatering. Our staff of expert technicians can assist you in every aspect from sludge testing to design assistance to equipment start-up training. We manufacture polymer systems and conveyors in addition to the dewatering units to provide total system responsibility.
