Founded in 1991, Harris Elementary School provides academic programs with an emphasis on the development of basic learning and thinking skills. The school serves students in kindergarten through grade six and also operates a preschool. It maintains a library and resource center. Harris Elementary School provides instructive sessions related to art, music, band and physical education. The school administers the English Language Learners program. It operates a parent-teacher-student organization that organizes a range of community activities, such as yearbook parties, carnivals and family events. Harris Elementary School has an annual enrollment of more than 650 students. The school also conducts the Title I program. It additionally provides health and food services. Harris Elementary School is governed by Gilbert Public Schools, which also manages various elementary, middle and high schools, as well as the Technology and Leadership Academy.
