I am completely dissatisfied with discount engine in mesa Arizona. Your told one price which sounds like a great deal. Then they inform you that you need motor mounts. How do you put in an engine without replacing motor mounts? Then they tell you you need a new serpentine belt, then your told you need a new idler pully. The point is, they nickel and dime you that there engine replacement price goes up a thousand dollars more. On my auto to replace the engine it has to be installed from underneath, they disconnect your steering and suspension then you have a new problem and squeaks from that. Just beware. Every car is different. The motor I got whines. It is back in the shop again for the third time. Hopefully they make everything right. The most annoying thing is they'll promise three or four days to complete, mine took 8. Now you have to pay for your rental car. Frustrating, if only they would give you some warning up front. Calling to check on status just annoys them.

Discount engine exchange is a very dishonest business. I needed a new engine so I look ed in the yellow page , and I came up with Discount engine. I had the engine installed of 2009. I have had nothing but regrets ever since. They quoted me a price and before I was finished I had spent about a thousand more doing other things so that the warranty would take effect. I was told that if I did not allow the to make the other repairs , then the warranty would not be in effect. My warning to future customer, do not listen to the fast talk, GHECK THEM OUT. They do not rate one star. Now they want to charge for checking/repairing a defective engine . I will repeat Check Them Out. REGRET

I took a Mercedes Benz to this folks in September of 2008.I paid nearly 1400 for them to get an engine.They have been lying to me since then and they have never fixed it.They get very upset when I call or show up.They don't care about you after they take your money.They are heartless.They even moved with my car to a new location without telling me.Please don't take your car there.I am going to sue them to get my money and car back.They are horrible.If you don't believe me look at the Better Business reports about them.

Be very careful when you get a price from this outfit. They get highly irritated when you ask questions regarding their pricing. I would suggest you look else where as they advised me when I questioned several of the proposed prices regard various parts. I sent several email's ask about their service for replacement of my engine and any additional charges. Your engine will need to be in tip top shape to escape additional charges for various things like oil, antifreeze and shop supplies.
