General Info

The Johnson County Park and Recreation District offers a variety of recreational activities. The district provides art, swimming and gymnastics programs. It offers special events, including dance and craft shows and several tournaments for youths and adults. The district supports various sports activities that include football, volleyball, soccer, basketball and baseball. The Johnson County Park and Recreation District runs early childhood development centers and also provides preschool child care services. Located in Shawnee, Kan., the district s facilities include a memorial park, golf courses, and athletic, community and gymnastic centers. In addition, it operates the Roeland Park Aquatics Center, which conducts aquatic classes and programs.
