Their food is gooood!!!!! We go at least three times a month. Enjoy it every time we go.

You are greeted when you enter the facility but does not seem sincere. I get the feeling they feel they are doing you a favor when serving your to go plate. No smiles, no friendliness, if this is important to you. It's like a tough street attitude from the workers. But I just thoroughly enjoy the food. The desserts leave a lot to be desired. Some of the veggies may be from the can, but they are doctored up enough to be edible and enjoyed. I can say one thing, at least the mac and cheese is delish, unlike the mac and cheese I had at Binke's which was like mashed potatoes with no apologies. I wish Mom and Pops Soul Food Kitchen all the success with long life in the community. Lets get out and patronize this new business. Nothing is perfect.

Looking for yams, smother chicken, and cobbler. Smothered chicken was connected leg and thigh, hate thighs. No yams. Desserts were not appetizing. Mostly pre sliced cake and pecan pie. I’m not a baker but the cake slices were iffy. Not solid. Front of bottom layer appeared to be missing, like it crumbled or was eaten. The building itself looked nothing like the one displayed in their TV commercial or on the web. They are in a building previously used by a fast food restaurant with a drive through window that they do no use nor is their a sign in the window indicating it’s not in used. I am disable and use a rolling walker to get around. The main entrance has two doors that say pull on the outside. Only one was unlocked and my walker would not fit through it. Someone outside the restaurant offered me help. And I had to ask an employee to unlock the second door to get in.
Printed at the bottom of the credit card receipt that I was to sign was a suggested tip. At a buffet? Seems their was a tip for each food time. Total order $9.80, total with suggested tip $12.50 (estimate). On Facebook lunch is $7.00, I was charged 8.99 plus tax.
