The Public Works department is a part of the government of The City of Mentor in Ohio. The department is responsible for the administration and maintenance of roadways and storm drainage facilities. It offers street lighting, equipment maintenance, recycling and yard waste collection services. The Public Works department administers litter prevention education programs. The department provides road paving, curbing, sweeping, crack sealing, snow and ice control, and guardrail installation and repair solutions. It maintains parks, municipal grounds and athletic fields. The Public Works department operates a traffic division that maintains and installs signals, signs and pavement markings. In addition, it offers household hazardous waste collection services.
