From the moment The O'Brien Group starts planning a new neighborhood, it thinks about what its customers want in their homes. During the design and planning stages, it continually evaluates its customers' desires. The company works with many leading architects, land planners, interior designers and landscape architects in the business. Interior designers analyze its plans carefully to make sure they are livable and furnishable. Landscape architects are consulted to ensure gardens are designed to complement the architecture and style of each home. Over the last five years, it has won several Gold Nugget Awards for the architecture of its homes. These awards are given at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference each year for best design and planning in 14 Western states and the Pacific Rim. The O'Brien Group is located in San Mateo, Calif.
