In town for the evening and killing time while daughter at a concert. Decided we deserved a great night out. Side Porch restaurant came up as a great little place for a steak. Could not have been more wrong.Started with a lukewarm greeting at the door and went down hill from there. Wood cockroaches were seen headed for the door.. and I understand that can happen and those are more location than cleanlyness. Steaks and appitizer were orderd. Fried mushrooms tasted freezer burned. So they went back.Baked potato had a rotten spot on it so it went back.One steak was half fat/gristle but by this time it was just eat so we can leave.Thise wonderful steaks I read so much about... not sure where they were. I do not like steak sauce of any kind.. and mine tasted like Hines 57 and that is not a flavor l like. Only good points was the waitstaff was polite if a bit scarse, I had to get up and go get dressing for his salad. And the critics were amazing... bread not so much. Needless to say we will not be back.

Side Porch Steakhouse provides for a wonderful dining experience. Its servers are always friendly and approachable, and are known to stay and chat with the customers. There are many regulars who have grown to be friends with the waitresses, and request the same one each time they dine at the restaurant. Aside from the outstanding service, the food is absolutely delicious. Although the restaurant's specialty is obviously steak, its other entrees are just as great. Never have I had a better hamburger or grilled chicken! The special marinade that they use on the steaks adds that extra flavor that really makes the Side Porch's steaks the best. (As the people of Bartlett can attest; it's been voted best steakhouse for many years running.) The amount of food provided with each meal is very generous; I don't see how anyone could leave hungry. Overall, the Side Porch is a wonderful restaurant across the board. It has a very casual, laid-back atmosphere that allows one to truly relax and enjoy

Seating was available in a very reasonable time. Servers were friendly. The steaks were awesome. Rolls were not the best I've ever had. Salad was very fresh.
