Kirby Middle School serves the educational needs of students in grades six through eight. It has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and is a part of the Memphis City Schools. The school offers courses in physical science, math, language arts, social studies, computer technology, art, Read 180, physical education, health and creative writing. It also provides special education classes to students with special needs. The school has sports teams for football, basketball, baseball, softball, cheerleading, and track and field. Its parent-teacher association sponsors various family events and academic enrichment programs throughout the school year. Kirby Middle School is located in Memphis, Tenn.
