Idlewild Elementary School is a Title I school, and is part of the Memphis City Schools. The school serves the educational needs of more than 450 students, and offers classes from grades kindergarten through six. It offers classes in various subjects, such as language arts, math, social studies, science, health education, English, computer science, family and consumer science, music, fine arts and physical education. The school also offers various special programs, including volunteer tutoring, science and computer laboratories, physical education, before and after school care, strings, community mentors, speech and resource inclusion classes. The school has a fully equipped library and media center that has a large collection of books, and other informational resources. Idlewild Elementary School is located in Memphis, Tenn.
