Based in Melville, N.Y., Sunquam Elementary School is a public, coeducational school that serves students in grades kindergarten through five and offers a wide variety of academic and extracurricular activities. The elementary school s academic curriculum includes reading, mathematics, arts, science, foreign languages, social studies and physical education. It provides a wide variety of facilities and services, such as a media center, cafeteria, transportation, health screenings, immunizations, lockers, playing fields and laboratories. The elementary school offers various extracurricular activities and student clubs, such as a theater workshop, student council, orchestra, and art, book and newspaper clubs, jazz band and choir. Sunquam Elementary School organizes various filed trips and is operated by the Half Hollow Hills School District.
