Awful. Horrible service. Nightmare. Stay away. They told me my burner was broken and talked me into a very expensive new one. It wasn’t the burner- it was the attachment and the new burner had the same issue because they didn’t fix the attachment. $10,000 later and many days of missed work waiting for service people, while they clearly have no clue what they are doing. They stink. I could tell you many more problems, but they are awful. Go elsewhere...

Finding home heating oil at a reasonable price these days can be difficult. And many companies will promise you the world if you sign up with them. But BUYER BEWARE. I was a loyal Petro customer, spending tens of thousands of dollars on oil, service and repairs, until the winter of 2013/2014. It was then that I noticed a pattern of high oil prices, culminating in one particular delivery in February of 2014 wherein I paid the HIGHEST oil price in the tri-state area. When I questioned the price, $4.2825 a gallon (while everyone else was charging between $3.95 - $4.09 a gallon), I was told they ran out of oil and had to buy from a middle man. So I had to pay more than everyone else in the tri-state area because of their poor management of the company?? I terminated all of my agreements with them and refused to pay their outrageous price. Being a loyal customer not only provided me with no preferential treatment but they took every opportunity to rip me off. So BUYER BEWARE. SHOP AROUND. You can easily find good prices available through the internet, and many do not require a contract. You can order on line and schedule a delivery in the comfort of your own home. Had I known that, I could have saved thousands of dollars.
