The South Area Adult Community Education Center operates day and night schools that provide high school diploma program for adolescents and youths. It offers classes in language arts, creative writing, journalism, psychology and sociology. The South Area Adult Community Education Center also provides instruction in humanities, drawing and painting, parenting education, and health and life management. It offers the Adult Basic Education (ABE), ESL and GED preparation programs. The school also provides computer lessons that focus on the development of photo processing, Internet and Web designing services. Located in Melbourne, Fla., the South Area Adult Community Education Center is a part of Brevard Public Schools, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
