      Established in 1988, Genesis is a recovery center that offers a range of health care services and chemical dependency treatment. Its treatment program is based on a 12-step recovery model that includes cognitive, behavioral and experiential therapies. The center offers a range of lectures and interactive educational sessions that provide information about chemical dependency, as well as necessary tools for recovery. Its assertiveness training classes are designed to help clients improve their communication skills. The center is certified by the state of Oregon to provide services for driving under the influence of intoxicants information and rehabilitation programs. Genesis is located in Central Point, Ore., and is a part of the Asante Health System, which is a nonprofit health care organization.
