Old Town Treasures is for me the true measure of what a business should be in Mechanicsville, it "is" indeed a treasure. This wonderful establishment is truly one of the best places to go in and feel like you are home as it's owner will make you feel as soon as you open the door. Fred is gracious and kind and loves what he does and he will do everything he can to help you sell or buy or give you advice of items and help you in finding what you may be looking for. This fine establishment is a true gem in that it's what stores should be everywhere in that you feel like family every time you go and it all comes from the owner and his ability to treat you as such. It's my honest opinion that Fred and his great store is one of the "True" treasures that we are proud to have in our fine town of Old Mechanicsville. For me it feels like what Mechanicsville used to be when I was growing up and everyone knew everyone else so please make time to go and visit this wonderful store and meet it's owner and shake his hand and be greeted with a smile.

My wife and I had some old money that we had for years we decided to get estimates on the value. We made the trip to Old Town Golden Treasures after reading the reviews which were right on the money, we met Fred the owner, he's a very honest, straightforward person, he showed us what to look for on the various items, explained the way items are valued and gave us some excellent pointers for future reference. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get an honest straight forward appraisal for old money items.
