Don't buy here - or be extremely cautious if you do! In Nov. 2011, my fiance & I paid for an upgraded palladium engagement band - we waited 6 weeks because it had to be special ordered. It came in, and I noticed it wasn't on the original band I had selected, but I didn't think much about it.



Fast forward 3 months - we just had the ring appraised & the metal tested. When I sent the ring for the appraisel, the jeweler pointed out the metal band wasn't stamped and that was odd. Well, here's why: the appraisel included metal testing, which revealed that instead of the palladium we payed for, they gave us 14K white gold! So basically, we paid extra for a specific metal band, and they gave us a cheap knock off without telling us. This despite their representations and warranties (yes, still under warranty!) that the ring was palladium.



This is not acceptable. It's fraud, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal under state and federal law to represent and warrant that the ring was palladium when it WASN'T! We only got the ring insured & tested for insurance purposes - otherwise we'd have never known. It makes me wonder - how many other people were they cheating???



I'm waiting to see what they do to fix it - they better remount it on a palladium or platinum band of my choice. If they fix it properly, I'll come back and update my review. Right now - zero stars!



It's better to go to a private, real jeweler. Shop around until you find one you think is trustworthy and has good prices. Avoid the national chains. It's just not worth it.
