Dr. Washam is state licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor and Pastoral Counselor, and is an ordained Episcopal priest. He has been in clinical practice since 1984, specializing in behavioral problems of adolescents and adults. Dr. Washam's areas of clinical interest include medical and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and he offers psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families in the following areas: abuse and trauma, addiction, adolescent behavior, anger management, anxiety, bi-polar, borderline personality, death and dying, depression, divorce, impulse control disorders, grief, narcissistic personality, and relationship conflicts. Dr. Washam has been credentialed by the American Academy of Medical Psychotherapy (Diplomate), the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (Fellow), American Association of Pastoral Counselors (Fellow), American Group Psychotherapy Association, American Academy of Psychotherapists, the National Registry of Certified Group Psychotherapists, and the National Board for Certified Counselors.
