All full service grooms include bathing, brush out, haircut, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, ear hair removal and glands expressed if needed. Prices vary depending on breed and size. Please call for a quote. Hi, my name is Heidi Caviness, I grew up in the Country in Monticello. We had all kinds of animals from dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles and hamsters. My siblings and I participated in 4-H where I showed rabbits and dogs for a few years. My love for dogs grew as I got older and in 2003 I started a job as an apprentice for a small privately owned grooming shop. I immediately loved it and committed myself to learning everything I could. The groomer there (who had been grooming for 15 years) taught me not only how to give a good haircut, but also to respect the dogs and work with difficult and traumatized dogs. I now work very hard to build up trust and form relationships with them. I went onto school to get my license in 2004. I worked in Eden Prairie for 3 years and then another 4 at an animal clinic where I groomed and also learned a lot more about the health of the animals. I have 2 dogs of my own and a cat. For the past 5 years I have been volunteering for a dog rescue group and have fostered around 20 dogs. With 8 years of experience in animal grooming, animal hygiene and over health of dogs and cats. I specialize in the care of skin and coat types using the appropriate shampoo and products to fit that animal s needs. My main services for each animal include bathing, blow drying, complete brush out and demat, nail clipping, ear hair plucking and ear cleaning, glands expressed and teeth brushing upon request. Having worked with many difficult dogs in the grooming setting, I have been very successful in reversing the behaviors of scared, traumatized or somewhat aggressive dogs over time. I educate my clients on brushing, bathing and other helpful techniques to use between professional grooming to help maintain healthy skin and coats. I have also taught puppy classes in the past have learned many useful tips and techniques to ease young puppies into the grooming experience before bad habits form and the fear of being handled sets in. I love what I do and really can't imagine doing anything else.
