This rink is very nice but, it is strickly for the birthday parties for little kids. If you are a serious skater, better find a place where they don't have so many [or none] birthday parties during public sessions.

They do not maintain the hours of operation and schedule. I have sat in my car many times wondering if they were going to open or not. When I get dressed to go skating and spend my money on gas and sit in my car, then it should open or give ample notification of a change of schedule. Again this is another example of how the owner just does whatever he wants. This is the real world not someones make believe wonderland. Post a correctly maintained schedule on your website and also on the front door. Give us amply notification whenever the schedule changes.

The Silver Star Skate Center schedule is unreliable. Mary times the doors will be closed and locked during the times that are scheduled for open skating. No signs on the door or anywhere else that states that it is closed. You sit in your car until you get tired of waiting and leave. The kids run the rink and do anything they want, whenever they want. No rules are posted because no rules are in forced. The floor was a beautiful maple floor but currently has many deep scratches. Many times the floor is so dirty you must clean your wheels during the skating session. They don't have any maintenance schedule for the skates or the floor. The kids are allowed to bring drinks, candy, and toys on the floor. The kids drop anything and everything on the floor and it stays on the floor from session to session without anyone cleaning up the mess. It is a nice rink to skate at if you can ignore all of its issues. Has a very good sound system but they play cr**** music.
