Ravine Drive Elementary School, located in Matawan, N.J., has more than 350 students in grades kindergarten through three. It is one of four elementary schools in the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District. The teaching staff consists of regular education teachers, resource room teachers, and teachers who provide instruction in art, computer education, library, physical education, health and vocal music. The school also has teachers that provide instruction in world languages, reading and math recovery, literacy groups, and speech and basic skills. The school has a Focus on Concepts and Understanding Strategies program that provides support for students demonstrating difficulty in reading, writing and mathematics. Additional help is available through the school s tutorial program.
