Watson Elementary School, established in 1958, is a learning center that serves more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school provides Title I and extended-day education programs. It also conducts special education classes for students with special needs. The school s curriculum includes reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Watson Elementary School supports activities, such as art and vocal music. Its staff includes a guidance counselor, speech pathologist and computer technologist. The school publishes a newsletter, UNITE, which carries information on social and academic programs and activities. In addition, it offers meals and operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts fundraising activities. Watson Elementary School is a part of Perry Local Schools.
