Founded in 1955, Birch Lane Elementary School houses more than 1,000 students in grades one through six. It offers an academic program that focuses on the development of reading, language arts and math skills education. The school also offers classes in physical education, art, music and computer application. The school also has a parent-teacher organization that supports school activities and programs. It also offers psychologist, guidance counselor and social worker services to students. Birch Lane Elementary School, a division of the Massapequa Public School District and is located in Massapequa Park, N.Y. The school district also operates various other elementary schools.
