North Iowa Area Community College is one of the leading educational institutions in the United States. Formerly known as Mason City Junior College, it has been operational for more than 85 years. Located in Mason City, Iowa, the college has been approved by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers various facilities, such as technology-based library, learning resource center, recreational and intramural programs, classroom facilities, student employment and job placement services, academic advising, course planning, and business training equipment. The college provides majors in American and East Asian studies, anthropology, archaeology, art and art history, biochemistry, classical studies, computer science, economics, English, environmental science, and foreign languages and literature. Additionally, it also provides majors in geology, world history, international business and management, Judaic studies, criminal justice, mathematics, neuroscience, philosophy, and psychology.
