Founded in 1995, Lakewood Middle School is located in Marysville, Wash. The school serves more than 595 students in grades six through eight. It conducts classes in English, math, science and social studies. It offers a range of student activities that includes art, music, drama, and technical and physical education. Lakewood Middle School also operates a band and choir. The school provides special education programs for gifted and talented students. It supports a variety of sports activities, such as softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track and field. In addition, the school has a parent-teacher-student association that conducts various fundraising activities and special events, including dance programs and family nights. It organizes field trips to several educational and cultural destinations. Lakewood Middle School provides meals, transportation, guidance counseling and medical care.
