They say this is a family oriented facility. It isn't. They allow EVERY morning till 11 am for the leisure pool to be for grumpy and mean adults that hold NO value to a family and family time. He screamed at me and was bullying me. We preach to our children not to bully people and this man is allowed to act this way at the YMCA and the staff at the way give into him!!! A infant with an adult should be allowed to go to the leisure pool in the morning. parent's with kids work and the morning may be only time they can go. The YMCA won't even do every other day. The would rather support grumpy people that hate children and want to scream and show no respect for other people. For this reason I will drive 30 minutes and go to a YMCA that truely knows the meaning of FAMILY atmosphere!!! If an adult doesn't want near kids they should be going to an Adult gym.
Do not give this "family business" your money. They are marketed as being a family facility. I have a 7 month old who loves to swim. He swims in their warm pool like a little fish. However, I work full time and my mother works full time. There are very limited times that we are able to take him. He is SUCH a good boy. All smiles and swims that's it. However, every single week day until 11 the pool is closed for older adults. However children under three are allowed in at the old peoples discretion. Guess what, they are mean and hateful and kick my excited little baby out. I contacted management and requested that we rotate days. Can they just have the pool every other day? I thought this was reasonable considering it's a FAMILY ymca. Nope. It's encouraged that we give them their own time so that there are not more bad experiences with the older adults interacting with children. So it is encouraged for their bad behavior and families suffer.
