McKelvey Elementary School is a diverse learning community that enrolls more than 550 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as fine arts, music, art, foreign languages, health and physical education, library media skills, mathematics, science and social studies. It also offers English as a Second Language and gifted education programs. McKelvey Elementary School has an active parent-teacher organization that financially supports several enrichment opportunities for students and staff. It additionally conducts a range of before- and after-school activities, including hip hop dance, quilting classes, study skills and cartooning. The school is accredited by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. McKelvey Elementary School is a part of the Parkway School District and is located in Maryland Heights, Mo.
