Recently I wrote the following to a client: "If you only get to go to Alaska once, do it right and make as many memories as possible!! When I was a bit older than your daughter (maybe 8 or 9), my Dad took us on a trip to Montana. First we stayed at a cabin up in the Bear Tooth Mountains on Rosebud Lake. We caught 17 trout in less than 30 minutes - then went back to the cabin and had fresh pan fried trout for breakfast, and shared much of the rest with the "neighbors." We watched two male rams "battle" early every morning atop the cliff on the other side of the lake; I got to ride a mustang and gallop across the flatland; we got stuck behind a snowplow on the 4th of July on our way to Yellowstone, and my brother and I got out of the car and had a snowball fight in our shorts; I pretty sure you're too young to know what a wing window was, but I was sitting in the front seat of the car as we entered Yellowstone and a bear put his/her paw through my open wing window and I touched its claw - much to my Dad's horror and disapproval... Did I ever get a scolding on that one! These memories for me are ? a century old - but I remember them like yesterday. It was a once in a lifetime trip that is very much part of my inspiration to want to help others develop their own unforgettable memories." When you are ready, I'll be here to help your family, your friends, your clubs make their own memories that will last a lifetime.
