Located in Martinez, Calif., the Contra Costa Juvenile Hall is a part of Contra Costa County Probation Department. It provides a wide range of services, which include intake, investigation, supervision, placement and diversion, drug courts and probation officers in schools. It also provides placement and supervision services in residential treatment facilities throughout California. Its treatment facilities specialize in various areas, such as sex offender and mental health treatments, drug treatment, behavior modification, and emancipation and life skills preparation programs. It also offers community probation programs, such as boys ranches and boot camps. The department provides prevention, investigation, supervision services and custodial care for juveniles. It operates more than three treatment programs for youth, including Orin Allen Youth Rehabilitation, Summit and Chris Adams Girls centers. Its domestic violence unit provides supervision of individuals convicted of domestic violence, offenses of spousal abuse, terrorist threats, stalking and assault with a deadly weapon.
