Dev was extremely thorough, highly recommended

I needed to dormer out a property I bought for a investment. The proposed addition was challenging from a engineering/ architectural standpoint and to do so in a cost effective manner. I found that both Justin and Dev were very receptive and responsive with a out of the box solution I am very happy with. I look forward to working with them both on my next project.

We have now used Preferred Property three times and have been happy each and every time. Originally, Dev came to do a home inspection for us and found the home to have a number of serious structural issues. We decided to forgo purchase on that home. Tom with Preferred Property was on time, very thorough and honest in his inspections. He took the time to show me things, talked me through his process and got the reports out the next day. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fair inspection with insight on how to fix a wide variety of things. Some inspectors make mountains out of mole hills but this wasn't the case.

We had inspection twice for the same property because the water wasn't turned on at the beginning. The inspection company didn't charge us additional fee for that. The inspector, Tom Mitchell was very professional and thorough. We recieved the reports very quick and with pictures and detailed descriptions. It's a good company with professional inspectors and great services.

Tom arrived on time, was professional, and conducted a very thorough inspection keeping me abreast of code or maintenance issues he identified. I will definitely use this company again and highly recommend using Tom Mitchell.

Sayers, Galloway, NJ - Dev & Chuck arrived on time for our inspection. They were very personable and knowledgeable. We have many problems from renovations and additions recently done. Dev & Chuck spent a lot of time here inspecting from top to bottom, finding many major deficiencies and taking great pictures. We hired the wrong contractor but we hired the right structural engineers! The report is superb. They included every little detail we wanted in the report, along with their findings and made it all cohesive and comprehensible. We can't thank them enough for the excellent job done! And...they didn't rob us! Don't hesitate to hire this firm.

We recently had a tom mitchell, come out and inspect a home for us. He was efficient, pleasant and very thorough. We received email confirmations and results by the next day. The inspector performed the inspection of my property that I am in the process of buying. It was very apparent to me that he is extremely knowledgeable and performed a very thorough home inspection. I have already received the report even though the inspection was just performed on Saturday, December 12 and during the inspection he took the time to identify and explain his findings to me. I am extremely pleased with the service I received.

SAMUEL BARRA 115 W. PINE ST AUDUBON NJ 08106 January 19, 2010 Our 100 yr old house's kitchen was down to the studs. He came in and reviewed the 3 areas in the room we were questioning support, since we were planning on moving and halving some of the kitchen's interior walls. This examination by a PE was necessary for us to obtain a borough permit. He examined the areas thoroughly (including getting up on a ladder with a flashlight), answered any questions I had, and told me when I could expect the drawings and report to be done. Went just as planned. Mr Dev arrived promptly. He was very polite and professional and was happy to answer any of my questions. He thoroughly examined the areas in question asking me for any clarification on what we were planning on doing so that the drawings would be made properly. The drawings were done by the date promised and three copies were issued to me. (1 for contractor, 1 for boro, 1 for myself). The office staff at Preferred Proper

Dev and his co-worker spent several hours carefully examining the property (including septic system) and did a fantastic job. They pointed out every issue with the house and gave me confidence on the condition of the 1960's home. I will certainly use them next time I need home inspection services. Everything went great. They showed up on time, worked hard, answered my on-site questions and delivered a comprehensive report in a timely manner.

The engineer's knowledge could be there but he is all about the money, money, money!! Just bought a new home, and thought hiring him was going to release my headaches...first of all, came into my house without introducing himself and let alone, didn't even give me a quick run down on what he was going to do-left me a weird taste in my mouth! Like strangers in my house! Anyways, to make this short, after he demanded I paid him upfront in full, he did type out a report and not only emailed it to me but also mailed it out. After finding so many problems in the report, I contacted my homebuilder- they came out as a courtesy; however, when the homebuilder and I have attempted to reach this so call engineer, ( after I paid him) he was not reachable!! His wife told me and the home builder that I would have to pay him again! What?? He's not responsible.Do not care about his customer after he collects his money!!!! He couldn't explain the report to my homebuilder?? Professional?? Not.
