We spent $1200 spent on diagnostics for our dog, with the outcome being that our dog needed a strict diet of chicken and rice only, which we did for 4 years. A month before he died, we took our (now 15 year old) dog in for a rabies shot and was pressured by Dr. DeSena to have a dental cleaning done. We declined, based on anesthesia risks for an old dog. When took him to vet clinic to be euthanized, Dr. DeSena gave absolutely no emotional support. He was cold, insensitive, and made me feel like I hadnt cared properly for our beloved dog, which couldnt have been further from the truth. Final words from vet werent any sorry for your loss, but rather a be careful as you pull out, cars whip around the corner and youre distracted. I called the clinic to let them know how upset I was about the way I was treated and Dr. DeSena never called back or apologized for his rude, insensitive behavior. I would not recommend Dr. DeDena and wont be using their services in the future.
Dr DeSena and his staff are THE BEST! We have 6 dogs and 8 birds that are all seen by Dr DeSena. The service we receive is extremely professional, compassionate and timely. We HIGHLY recommend this business.
