Established in 1964, McDowell Technical Community College provides educational opportunities to serve the personal development, training and employment needs of the residents, businesses and industries of McDowell County in North Carolina. It offers degree, diploma and certificate programs in accounting, automotive systems technology, cosmetology and operations management. The college maintains a library that offers a variety of educational resources and materials. McDowell Technical Community College operates the Industrial Skills Center. It is a member of the North Carolina Community College System McDowell Technical Community College operates the Student Government Association that sponsors various events.
