      Founded in 1988, Atherton Place provides a range of independent and assisted living services for senior citizens. It assists in the management of daily activities, such as apartment maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, grooming and medication administration. The community offers pest control, trash removal and transportation services. Its amenities include a hair and beauty salon and health club. Atherton Place organizes dancing and bowling activities, as well as holiday parties and shopping trips. It is affiliated with the WellStar Health System, which is a nonprofit network of hospitals.
