      The Marietta Local is an American-Southern restaurant located on Historic Marietta Square. All menu items are made-to-order with the freshest ingredients available on the local market. Everything is FRESH, never frozen. During our first year of operation, we received the Taste of Marietta's "Big Chicken" Award recognizing our fried chicken as the best in Marietta. Our owner, Jim Tidwell, has lived in the Marietta area for more than 25 years. Jim, being the family man he is, saw a need for a restaurant that was family-friendly, but also served incredible food and represented the historic nature of the city. The Marietta Local was born.
