Powers Ferry Elementary School houses more than 500 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It has over 85 staff members and is located in Marietta, Ga. The school s instructional curriculum helps in the academic, social, emotional and physical growth of students. Its core subjects include social studies, science and health. The school also offers classes in art, music and physical education. It additionally provides speech and language classes for children with educational disabilities. The school s special staff features early intervention specialists, literacy coaches, counselors and pathologists. Its counseling team provides parent liaison, community outreach and student mediation services. The school s parent-teacher association sponsors a variety of cultural programs. Powers Ferry Elementary School also publishes a weekly newsletter that features board activities and staff news.
