      Founded in 1977, the Tommy Nobis Center has assisted more than 16,000 individuals throughout Atlanta and northwest Georgia. It provides on-site training and employment services. The center offers vocational evaluation and career planning services. Its computer training center provides courses designed to combine skills training with practical work-simulation exercises. The Tommy Nobis Center evaluates participants on-the-job behaviors and physical capabilities. The center s employment development services develop social and interpersonal skills of participants to obtain and maintain employment. It has partnerships with companies, including Wellstar, Kroger and Owens & Minor. The center s specialized programs include classroom instruction, job readiness, work practices and mobility training. It produces business solutions with cost-effective services for its business customers. The Tommy Nobis Center is headquartered in Marietta, Ga.
