Deceptive – Stay away.
Take your equipment to this shop at your own risk. I took a leaf blower (4 or 5 years old) in for repair, as it would not start. I specifically told them that I was not certain whether the cost of the repair was worth fixing and asked for them to call me prior to any repair. Sure enough, they called me and told me that the repair would be $70. I told them that it was not worth it and went to pick it up, upon arriving at the shop, they wanted to charge me a $35 diagnostic fee. They never mentioned a diagnostic fee until I went to pick it up, when I asked them why they did not mention the fee when I first dropped it off, especially since I told them that I was not sure that it was even worth repairing, the guy pointed to a sign on wall in a clutter full of other signs….How is a customer supposed to pick up a diagnostic charge off a sign on the wall mixed in a clutter of other signs on the shop? Any honest shop would tell customers upfront that a diagnostic fee is charged if the work is not performed, especially since I told them upfront that I was not sure if the work was worth it….. I refused to pay the fee, and they would not return the leaf blower. This place is totally deceptive, think twice before you give any business to this shop……I wish I would have read the reviews of this place before stepping in the door…..

Horrible Customer Service!

Took in excess of 5 weeks to have 2 cables replaced on my mower. I had to call them 7 times to get updates on the status of the repairs. With the exception of once from Justin, I never received a follow up call even though they stated they would call me back on 3 separate occasions. After call 7, I stated that it was ridiculous that it was taking this long. Their response was, "Well, you can come pick it up now then." Wow! Not the response I anticipated but I guess I should have after 5 weeks.

When I went to pick it up I questioned why it took so long and they stated they had to order the parts. I asked why didn't you give me a call and just let me know it was going to take longer? His response was, "We do the best we can and if we stopped to follow up with every customer we would be further behind than we are." A complete lack of pride and ownership by anyone at this place. Take your business elsewhere!

I've been a customer for 22 years, theses guys are a great group of wrench turners. I read the other reviews. If you want better customer service and handed a nice glass of warm milk at the door, go to home depot, they charge twice as much and take just as long because you waited till' the last minute. But, atleast your feelings won't be hurt, feelins cost money girlfriend $$$. I recommend taking it in at the end of the season and/or Jan/Feb. Boom! in and out. Oh and harden the F@ck Up!

scammers

Took my lawnmower for a starter/solenoid problem but when I picked it up they charged me for starter/carberator rebuild. I had just put a out of the box carb last year and I baby my fuel with ethanol/stabilizer treatment.Good thing these guys dont put roofs on or they might charge you for a driveway as well. Point is my problem was the engine wouldn't turn over, when confronted they refused responsibility, been using them for 2 years and that stops now. With past experience there I'd say the other low reviews are spot on

Great shop

I've been there several times. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I believes these guys can fix anything and They can sharpen chain saws chains like no other. After having such a great experience several times I was shocked to see bad reviews. They probably ticked off the wrong yuppie that got his friends to write bad reviews. I can assure you that you won't find better better service at a fair price .

Super helpful. They did a quick fix on my mower to get it working for the short term until I could bring it in and leave it to have the part replaced. For no fee, no less! And the price they quoted me on the new part is 1/2 the price the other mower places want to charge just to look at it. Very happy.

When I walked into East Cobb L...

When I walked into East Cobb Lawnmower to pick up my mower, one of the employees got off the phone and yelled, "I'd like to shoot the f***ing b****." If that's how they treat other customers behind their backs, I knew I was in trouble. I was. I brought my mower in because it wouldn't start. They said they'd take a look and have it fixed in two days. Four days later, they called and said it was ready. After bringing it home, it wouldn't start. They had replaced the crank shaft and never tried to start it to make sure it worked. When I called to complain, they said I told them to fix the crank shaft and they did as I said. I didn't tell them that because I don't know what the crank shaft is or why my mower wouldn't work. They wrote down the instructions after looking at the mower. The guy on the phone refused to take responsibility and continued to tell me it was my fault. He admitted he never tried to start it -- because I didn't tell him to on the work order. When I said, "so you don't go the extra mile for your customer?" he said, "No, I just do what's written on the order." I couldn't believe someone would admit to providing such terrible customer service and being proud of it. I told him they just lost a customer. He said, "good!" They really have lost this customer. I'll never go back -- and I'll tell others to stay away!

Good service

I've been dealing with them for years. They're knowledgeable and helpful. Harvey gave me a great deal on a used snapper riding mower.
