Alan McIlvain Company produces and distributes hardwood moldings and lumber. It offers porch rails, doors, panels and stair parts. Its species of lumber include maple, oak, walnut, cherry, poplar, birch and ash. The company also serves as a distributor of White River decorative moldings. Established in 1798, the company employs more than 80 people and operates several dry kilns and warehouses. Its millwork department consists of modern cutting and processing equipment. Located in Marcus Hook, Pa., Alan McIlvain Company is a member of the National Hardwood Lumber Association, the Architectural Woodworking Institute, the American Hardwood Export Council, the International Wood Products Association and the Hardwood Manufacturing Association.
