Cedar Island Elementary School is a coeducational institution that provides academic instruction to students in kindergarten through grade six. The school has a library that provides access to online encyclopedias, dictionaries, maps, magazines, newspapers, databases, graphics and other reference materials. Its core curriculum includes various subjects, such as art, health and physical education, math, science, social studies and technology. In addition, the school has a cafeteria that serves a variety of food items to students. Located in Maple Grove, Minn., Cedar Island Elementary School employs a guidance counselor who serves as a resource for the students, parents and staff and provides consultation, individual and group counseling and developmental lessons. The school also maintains a site council and parent-teacher organization.
