Zip-Pak is a worldwide leader in resealable packaging technology, pioneering the zipper feature for flexible packaging and adapting it for automated applications. Its packaging solutions-marketed under the ZIP-PAK brand - enable flexible packaging to easily open and close, keeping food items fresher and non-food items better contained. Zip-Pak produces hundreds of different style zipper closures and is constantly creating new variations for specific applications. The company has developed and produced packaging since the 1950s. In addition, Zip-Pak's AMI Equipment Division, based in Duluth, Ga., develops machinery attachments to apply zipper in-line on Form/Fill/Seal equipment and Pre-made Pouch machines. Zip-Pak is based in Manteno, Ill. and has four production facilities servicing domestic and international customers. Further enhancing its strong international presence throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia, Zip-Pak began production in the Netherlands in 2004. Zip-Pak recently acquired Supreme Plastics Ltd. recloseables division, which will further expand Zip-Pak's presence in Europe. Zip-Pak is a division of Illinois Tool Works, a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems. Illinois Tool Works has operations in more than 40 countries worldwide.
