Mid Ohio Custom Monuments and Markers is honored to serve the needs of families all across Mid Ohio. We understand the responsibility in making another decision that will permanently be a piece of remembrance for a loved one and strive to make it as stress free as possible. Our goal is to educate you on the options available as this is often a customer's first time experiencing this process. We specialize in custom etchings and carved designs using the highest quality granite, marble, and bronze and will work to the best of our ability to meet your personal and financial needs in this process. Families from Crawford, Richland, and Ashland County often turn to us during this time to honor a loved one, but we are happy to help families from across the state of Ohio. In years past, cemeteries (and funeral homes for that matter) did their best to monopolize customers to buy all accessories (headstones, caskets, etc.) from them. The prices of the accessories, therefore, often subsidized the cost of the traditional cemetery service and the customer would pay a lump sum bill and never know the difference. In relatively recent years the United States Federal Trade Commission has since required that cemeteries offer customers an itemized bill for their expenses. Cemeteries must allow customers to purchase items such as burial markers and tombstones from whatever provider they would like. While most cemeteries do not violate FTC laws by blatantly discouraging someone to buy headstones and other accessories elsewhere, it is rarely encouraged. Often times a family will want to resolve the emotionally difficult work of burial planning as quickly as possible and not take a little time to look for a loved one's final needs.
