South Street School is a learning institute that serves more than 390 students in kindergarten through grade two. The school provides instruction in several subjects, such as language arts, math, science and social studies. It also offers a selection of programs in art, music and physical education. South Street School manages a library media center, gymnasium, cafeteria and computer laboratory, as well as organizes book fairs and family night events. The school operates a parent-teacher association that works for student welfare. In addition, it provides special education and behavioral management programs and health care and food services. South Street School is managed by the Eastport-South Manor Central School District.
