Located in Mankato, Minn., Washington Elementary School offers a full range of academic programs for more than 300 students. Its curriculum includes social studies, mathematics, special education, arts, music, writing process, grammar and usage, reading comprehension, spelling, literature and speaking. It also offers various motivational and enrichment programs. Its English as a second language program provides educational opportunities in the four modalities of reading, writing, listening and speaking. It has small class size to address students needs personally. It accommodates a full range of multiply handicapped students. Its parent-teacher organization supports lyceums and family events. Washington Elementary School additionally offers meal services to students.
