I had a makeup application at Sephora on Saturday. You have to spend $50 on products for the make-up application and I had a gift card to use, so it was fine. My makeup artist Hsiao Lin was truly amazing. She didn't pile makeup on my face, but instead brought out beauty I forgot I had. She explained every technique and was very polite and calm. I highly recommend Hsiao Lin as your consultant in the Manhasset store. I took away one star because because the staff was a little disorganized with appointments, but friendly.

I have wasted an obnoxious amount of money at sephora....and i love going to this store to sample purchases before i buy from sephora.com--but i rarely buy here because a. store is pretty small, only carries a fraction of what is available online or at roosevelt field store

b. employees are uninformed and often quite rude

c. employees are incredibly stingy with handing out samples, you have to chase them down and they act like you're a beggar

d. unless of course you are youngish and arent dressed in designer clothes, then theyll stalk you all around the store to make sure that you arent stealing something!

because of this i would rather pay shipping and wait for my product to arrive from sephora.com--i know the employees don't work on commission but it gives me some small sense of satisfaction to rob them of the sale lol
